Showers Are Fun
A wedding shower will be had,
All who go will be so glad,
For it's sweet to celebrate,
Such a very special date.
We'll play games and eat some cake,
That our friends so sweetly baked,
We will talk of many things,
Like the bride's new wedding ring!
It shall be a nice affair,
Those who come can show they care,
Wedding showers are just fun,
For the bride and everyone!

My wedding shower was absolutely wonderful! We played so many fun games, and my friends baked a beautiful cake for me. The whole place was decorated in yellow and white, which were the colors I had chosen for my wedding. My dearest girlfriends and female family members were there, and we spent the whole afternoon just laughing and sharing stories with each other. It was so much fun to open presents and to spend the day celebrating my upcoming wedding!
The companionship of friends and family is really what makes a shower special. Sure, the presents are fun, and the cake and hors d'oeuvres are delicious, but it's the people you share the day with who make the shower so wonderful. A bridal shower is a very girly thing indeed, and it's so fun to create those memories with the women who mean the most to you!
This poem highlights some of the fun things that go on at a wedding shower and would be great given to the bride or to the guests before the shower. It is very versatile and can serve a number of general purposes. I think this wedding shower verse could even be included in a shower invitation!
