Wedding bells soon will sound,
Singing of the love you've found,
I look forward to your shower,
And will be there on the hour.

And stay until the party's through,

Truly, it will be sublime.

Whenever one of my girlfriends announces that she is getting married, I am always filled with excitement for her. I know how much fun planning a wedding can be, and I know all about the romantic hopes and dreams that come with becoming engaged.
It's so wonderful to share that joy with a friend and to discuss it with her! It's also a lot of fun to share my own experiences with her and to encourage her not to be nervous and to try and enjoy herself.
When I became engaged, more than 10 years ago, I wanted to tell everyone in the world that my true love and I had found one another and that we were going to be married! When my friends shared in my excitement, it meant so much to me.
I think happiness means so much more when you can share it with your friends and family. Some people wrote me lovely notes for my shower, telling me how excited and happy they were for me.
This wedding shower poem expresses all of those things in such a thoughtful way!
