As you can tell, I just love poems! I used a similar poem for the wedding card that I gave to my own sister, Luisa. She was so distracted on her wedding day, worrying about the food and the guests and the ceremony. There was so much going on, and I just wanted her to be able to enjoy her wedding day! I found a time when she was by herself and gave her the card with the poem to read.
She was quiet while she read it and when she was done, she gave me a big hug, took in a deep breath and said "Thank you." It was all she needed to refocus and it helped her to feel so much more cheerful. The wedding, of course, was beautiful, and so was my sister. I really believe that the poem helped her to relax so that she could carry on and enjoy the rest of her day.
