A Wedding Love Poem

A wedding love poem can be corny or romantic, and I prefer the romantic kind! I think this poem has just the right balance of sentimentality and sweetness.

In Love With You

I will consecrate my life,
And dedicate it to our love,
And my heart will shine so bright.
Just like all the stars above.

Getting married feels like winning,
To begin this new beginning,
And, in ways, this lovely feeling,
Causes me to be left reeling.

One big step for us, it seems,
Will make true all of my dreams,
I cannot wait to say, "I do,"
And to grow old, in love, with you.

You could probably say that I'm a romantic at heart. I love Valentine's Day, I love anniversaries and I love sweet romantic gestures that are spontaneous! When my husband comes home and surprises me with flowers for no reason at all, or brings home one of my favorite candy bars from the store, or even just does a little thing like bringing me a warm towel from the dryer after a shower, I feel like I fall in love with him all over again.

Romantic gestures can be grand or small, but we all appreciate them because they make it so obvious that the person we love is trying to show how much they care.

My husband has written me a poem or two, and I cherish them dearly. Sometimes, the words in his poems don't rhyme perfectly, or the rhythm might be a little off, but I just think that adds to the charm and uniqueness of the poetry. It truly is the thought that counts!

This love poem was written for a bride or groom to share before the wedding day. It truly captures the romance of a wedding - the commitment, the love, and the excitement of the new beginning. I think this wedding love poem is perfectly romantic!
