A Wedding Invitation Poem

A wedding invitation poem should be written in a way that will amuse the reader and inspire them to respond to the invitation as soon as possible!

Wedding Date

Silver bells begin to chime,
The weather, it shall be sublime,
Flowers will be everywhere,
We'll decorate with classic flair.

Ribbons will adorn the aisle,
Music playing all the while,
A tiered cake awaits the guests,
Who are dressed in all their best.

Our wedding date is almost here,
We hope you'll join us in good cheer,
For with your name upon our list,
We can ensure you won't be missed!

People receive a lot of mail these days. From junk mail to bills to letters, mailboxes fill up with so much correspondence. You certainly don't want your invitation to be opened and tossed to the side, so why not make it as interesting as possible? I know I would much rather read a poem than a utility bill.

With traditional invitations, there isn't generally much to read - just the basic information about who is marrying whom, and when and where the wedding will take place. With a wedding invitation poem, the recipient can be entertained as well as invited!

I'm a firm believer in personalizing correspondence. In an age of group email forwards and mass mailing of Christmas letters, I really appreciate when someone makes the effort to communicate in a special way.

Sending out poems in your wedding invitation shows that you not only care enough to invite the recipient, but that you want them to enjoy reading the invitation as well. It's just an extra touch that I bet your guests will appreciate! Feel free to use this wedding invitation poem in your invitations!
