My sister, Luisa, helped to plan my wedding. She's a very organized person and she loves doing any sort of planning, so I was more than happy to accept her help with the wedding planning. When we started planning what to do for wedding favors, we were both a little confused. There are just so many options, and we wanted to do something that would really make a sentimental impression on the guests.
We looked through catalog after catalog of wedding favor options! I can't tell you how many favor ideas we looked at. None of them seemed right for my wedding, and I was starting to think that we'd never find the perfect favor! One day, an idea just occurred to me as I was out working in my garden, and I immediately took off my gloves and ran to the phone to call Luisa. She loved the idea!
I had decided on the following favor: a gorgeous yellow candle with a white box of matches. The matchbox was personalized with my name and Michael's (my husband) name, and the date of our wedding. The candle and matchbox matched our wedding colors, and we also thought it was a very romantic and sentimental idea, because it was as though anyone using the candle would be constantly thinking of love's flame! We attached a poem with the favor suggesting that idea, and it was perfect!
