Wedding Engagement Poems

It's tough to find wedding engagement poems that also include a response saying you'll attend the wedding, but this poem says all that and extends congratulations, too!

Great News

Congratulations on your news,
No matter what date you will choose,
I know your wedding will be great,
Because this surely must be fate.

Your engagement is so nice,
I'll be sure to bring some rice,
And I'll attend to watch you wed,
And move your lives further ahead.

I'm just so glad the two of you,
Have now decided to be true,
And will go forth and tie the knot,
And give this everything you've got!

My Uncle Paul is married to one of the most flamboyant women you'll ever meet - her name is Loretta and we call her Aunt Fancy Pants. She has flame-red hair, she wears gold lamé pants and will talk your ear off in a very loud voice. She always wears bright red lipstick and her smile is enormous! She's not just colorful and flashy, she's also one of the nicest people you'll ever meet!

When her eldest daughter was getting married, she threw a huge engagement party for the couple. She hired a party planner to make all of the arrangements, and she was constantly calling the planner, checking on things and making sure that everything was going to be perfect for the party.

Knowing that I like to do creative things such as writing poetry (she has received quite a few homemade cards from me in the mail throughout the years), she asked me to help her write a poem for the happy couple. It was a lot of fun to work with her to write a poem!

It would be so nice to include a poem like this one in a card that you either send to the couple before the wedding or bring with you to attend an engagement party; wedding engagement poems are just so sweet!
