A Sister Wedding Poem
A really good sister wedding poem has to convey that special bond between sisters, and I think this one does that perfectly!
My Sis
Sisters love each other,
So dearly it is true,
And I must tell you, sister,
How glad I am for you.
Your wedding will be perfect,
I know that this is so,
And if you're feeling nervous,
You'll never let it show.
Congratulations to my sis,
You'll be a lovely bride,
And seeing you in your white gown,
Just fills me up with pride!

When I told my sister, Luisa, that I was engaged, she was just thrilled. She's an accountant by profession and she is an extremely organized person who enjoys planning things. She immediately started asking me questions about what colors I would prefer, what sort of flowers I would want and what style of wedding gown I would choose to wear. She even made little notes in her organizer about my preferences!
It makes me smile thinking about how much of an interest she took in my wedding and how supportive she was throughout the whole process of planning the day, choosing a caterer, picking out a wedding cake, etc. She was so involved, but she never acted as though she were running the show. She was there for me and I appreciated her help so much; there's just something special about a close relationship with a sister.
This poem is a lovely piece that not only congratulates a sister on her upcoming wedding, but reassures her that all will be wonderful. I think it's a sister wedding poem that will appeal to so many women who are getting married!
