I like long poems with a lot of descriptive words, but I like the ones that are short and to the point, too. I think this wedding poem is just so sweet - I love the way it talks about how sometimes things may be challenging, but that you are strong as a team and that you can work together to achieve just about anything!
My husband and I have certainly had our share of challenges since we were married just over ten years ago. We've had some ups and downs, but we have always been able to work through any difficulties by working together. Sometimes, he absolutely drives me nuts, but I always tell my girlfriends that it's simply part of his job as a husband to do so!
We can't expect to get along all the time with the people we love - sometimes, there are differences of opinion and we all argue from time to time. But I think that one of the keys to good relationships is the willingness to listen and to compromise sometimes. No one has a perfect relationship, but I have to say that I'm a happy woman and that I love and respect my husband so much.
This poem reminds me of the way we work through challenges together, and it inspires me to try even harder when things are tough. I hope that it can inspire you, too! There are many sample wedding verses to choose from, but I think this one is very nice.
