A pretty common practice with bridal showers is for people to chip in to buy the bride an expensive gift. If several people contribute some money, it makes it possible to buy something very extravagant that the bride and groom have chosen without it costing any one person a small fortune! Groups of women from the bride's workplace, family members or a group of friends often choose to go this route. It makes a lot of sense, if you think about it!
Girls also often choose to attend together! I have personally gotten together with a group of girls to not only purchase the bride a lovely present but to attend the shower as a group as well. It's a lot of fun, and it really enhances the whole celebration.
Although everyone receives their own invitation to a wedding shower, there's no rule that says everyone has to reply individually! Why not reply as a group, and send a fun poem like this one to the hostess? I think a group reply is such a cute idea, and poems for wedding shower replies are an excellent idea!
