I'm Italian, and I honestly think there's nothing better than an Italian wedding (I'm biased, of course). My own wedding was such a glorious affair! After the ceremony, everyone ate, drank and danced for hours and hours. Looking around the room, you saw so many happy and smiling faces; the whole place was filled with laughter and loud voices.
My brother's wedding was the same way, although I think his wedding reception was even louder than mine (but Paulie is a loud sort of guy). It's always fun to get all of the family together, and having such a big party with friends there to celebrate with us just makes it even more wonderful.
I really like this poem because I think it highlights the best things about an Italian wedding - family, importance of commitment, and a grand event for family and friends to share.
