Special Wedding Poems
The rhyming wedding poems on these pages have been written from the heart. I truly hope that you enjoy sharing them with your family and friends as much as I enjoyed writing them.
A wedding is a sacred thing,
Where man and wife exchange a ring,
And look into each other's eyes,
Reciting vows beneath the skies.
Tears of joy are what they shed,
This is where their lives have led,
A special moment both can share,
For all to see, their lives laid bare.
Their lives together now begin,
In front of guests and friends and kin,
No longer do they need to roam,
They now begin to build a home.

When I was writing the wedding poetry for these pages, I tried my very best to create a large variety. Some of these poems were written specifically for wedding anniversaries, wedding invitations, wedding showers, and wedding ceremonies. While others are funny and romantic. There are plenty more general wedding poems, and even among these, I tried to make each unique.
I really hope you enjoy this site, but before I let you go, allow me to say a few words about the significance of wedding poetry. We all understand that weddings are happy celebrations where we gather to recognize the union of two individuals. These days it is very easy to get wrapped around all the countless small details that make up a modern wedding.
I think it's important to take a step back and think about what are the most important things about a wedding. It's not flowers, wedding favors, bridesmaids dresses, or even how fancy the wedding bands are.
But rather, it is the strength of the bond that is being formed between the couple to be wed. This bond is the foundation that is rooted in trust, honesty, communication, and love. Without it, the wedding is just a show or temporary entertainment.
However, when this bond is present, and properly nurtured, it has the potential to flourish with each passing day, month, and year. This is the message that I dearly hope these poems deliver.
Thank you for your time,
