Every now and then, someone's anniversary comes along and we want to buy them the perfect gift to commemorate their milestone, but we aren't sure what to buy. After all, even if they are dear friends or if they are family members, it's hard to know what to buy them. A decorative engraved frame, perhaps? Matching coffee mugs with their photos imprinted on them? Flowers?
I've been in this situation so many times. Sometimes, I have felt obligated to buy a gift, because someone bought one for me on my anniversary. Other times, it was something I really wanted to do, but didn't know where to start! I realize now that a heartfelt gift - like something handmade - or a thoughtful card with a poem are more more meaningful things to give to someone than some trinket that will end up on a shelf (or maybe even in a yard sale!).
I think that when you want to congratulate someone, it's best to do it in a sincere and simple way. This site has many free wedding anniversary poems, but I think this one in particular can suit a lot of different types of couples.
