Finding the perfect engagement poem wedding card can be a bit tricky, but if you decide to make your own card, you should consider using the poem on this page!

Congratulations

We hear that you're engaged,
And we want to wish you well,
It's wonderful to see,
That you're under Cupid's spell.

We know that your engagement,
Will be full of happiness,
You're such a lovely couple,
And we do wish you the best.

So congratulations to you both,
You surely will succeed,
We think your wedding day
Will be just beautiful, indeed!

Sending your congratulations to a happy couple is the polite thing to do, whether or not you plan to attend the wedding. I always like to congratulate people in two ways: in person (or by phone) and via a card or letter in the mail!

Perhaps I'm old-fashioned, but I just think extending well-wishes is a wonderful thing to do. I know that I certainly appreciate when my friends or family make a point to congratulate me when I announce something exciting!

You might want to send your congratulations, but perhaps you are not sure how to do it. There are many options! You can simply write a little note and put it in the mail, send an email (although emails tend to be a bit impersonal), buy a greeting card or make your own, or even just send a simple letter in the mail telling the couple how happy you are for their upcoming wedding!

You should consider sending a poem to extend your congratulations - it's a wonderfully sweet gesture and people usually appreciate such things very much. A store bought engagement poem wedding card might not include a poem that you like, but you can always make your own card and include the poem on this page!
