My aunt Francesca is the type who loves correspondence. She often sends letters, thank-you cards, handwritten notes and such to her friends and family members. Recently, she has started to embrace the Internet and she will send an email once in a while. I suppose she prefers communicating with pen and paper, but I think that communicating in general is what's most important to her.
She's a pretty religious person - she attends church every Sunday, participates in Bible studies and a few spiritual women's groups. God is a very important part of her life, and in her letters to her friends and family, she often likes to include Bible verses or religious poetry - whatever she thinks will inspire the reader or remind him (or her) of God's presence in daily life. I think it's so sweet that she does this, because I know it is because she truly loves and cares about the people in her her life.
This poem is exactly the sort of thing that my aunt would love to send to a couple who's getting married soon - I really should send her a copy!
