Wedding themes vary wildly - I've been to classic traditional weddings, "Aloha" beach-themed weddings and even a clown wedding (don't ask). Weddings with religious themes are also very popular. A lot of people consider their marriage to be a way of pleasing God, by finding a partner who they love and committing to wed one another in God's name.
Religious ceremonies can be so beautiful. At a lot of Christian weddings, people include the singing of traditional hymns. At every stage of religious weddings, it is usually pretty clear that celebrating God's love (as well as the love of the bride and groom) is the focus of the wedding. Weddings like this are usually very traditional and lovely and the ceremony itself is usually quite reverent.
