Card Verses Wedding
Extending card verses wedding congratulations is easy, if you know how! If you're having trouble writing your own poem or just don't have the time, feel free to use the poem on this page!
Glad Inside
I simply now must tell you,
How glad I am inside,
To know that you're becoming,
A happy groom and bride.
And so, now, for your wedding,
I want to wish you well,
I simply am so thrilled for you,
As if you couldn't tell!
Congratulations and good luck,
I wish you all the best,
And thank you so for having me
As your wedding guest!

Knowing how much I enjoy poems, my Uncle Paul sent me a congratulatory poem for my wedding. I was so surprised and excited when I received his card in the mail. It was very sweet, and I called him immediately to express my thanks!
When I showed it to Michael (my husband, although then he was still my husband-to-be), he thought it was just wonderful, and sometimes he still asks Uncle Paul when he's planning to write another poem for us.
Going out of your way to send a special note or card congratulating the wedding couple is a gesture that goes a long way. It tells the couple that not only do you want to extend your congratulations, but that you are sincerely interested in their happiness and that you wanted to add a personal touch to your card.
You can try writing your own poem, or including one that you find online or in a poetry book. I like the poem on this page, because I think it has just the right amount of sweetness (but it's not corny).
Sending card verses wedding congratulations is a wonderful idea!
